The face of every frustrated person that works in manual therapy when a client says they haven’t been doing they’re exercises/stretches and the pain has returned . Most people stretch only when they feel pain/discomfort. They do exercises for a couple days, feel a bit better, stop doing the exercises. Pain returns. . The pain went away because you were giving your body what it needed! If you stop giving it what it needs, it lets you know by bringing back the pain!... . It isn’t the answer anyone wants to hear. But it is the only answer your body will respond positively to. . Over time you may not need to do them as often, you may be able to decrease the frequency... your body will let you know if you listen. See more

Chickpeas Salt Parmesan Greek yogurt Garlic Mayo Radishes Avocado Lemon Spicy mustard Olive oil . Steps: 1. Rise chickpeas and sprinkle with olive oil, salt at 400 for ~ 40 min. (Until crunchy) 2. Make dressing mix; 2tbsp lemon juice, 1tbsp mustard, 2 garlic cloves minced, 3/4cup plain Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup mayo, 1/2cup Parmesan (grated), salt 3. Pour 1/2 of dressing over salmon and let sit 4. Never be afraid to bet on yourself. Never be afraid to put other goals aside to be something greater. . Going back to school had/has me feeling all sorts of ways, is it the right decision? Am I too old? I want to get married, I want kids, do I want to put that on hold? . ... Am I going to fall behind where my friends are? . Am I willing to invest this much time and money into myself? . I honestly really disliked school the first time, I’m a doer and it’s pace was slow and boring and I couldn’t connect what I was learning to anything real-world. . This time though, it’s all different, I can create a connection between what I learn and who I want to help. . I still struggle with feeling behind sometimes, and the fact that I want to be amazing now. That the pace honestly is still a little slow for me. . But I know I’m where I’m meant to be. . And it’s easier than it ever was before. When you are where you are meant to be, everything flows. See more
SO many people reached out after I shared a story the other day saying they are struggling too with motivation to move or workout daily. . Know you are not alone in this. That said, here are some things I’m doing it to combat this; . 1. Playing YouTube travel videos of places I want to see (one of my main motivators for movement is I love to explore, I love a 10 hour hike to a beautiful view)... 2. Skype workout with my cousin, we hold each other accountable. We also have a I need to vent about x,y,z almost daily getting any annoyances about life off our chest (and some good chats too) 3. The reminder that movement right now, may not look how it normally does, going for a walk still counts even when normally I love lifting a barbell 4. A 20 minute workout is better than nothing. What if this was the year your resolution was to celebrate and love your body? Regardless of size, shape, what you wish you could change. What would happen if you spent an entire year being so thankful for your body? Day in, day out. Your body would thank you back. It would show up as you need it to, it would tell you when something wasn’t right, it would tell you what feels great and what doesn’t. It would communicate better with you, simply because you would treat it bett...er, and communicate with it better. Today I’m celebrating my body by doing a @hydracrossfit workout and a walk with the dog. I’m also going to give it rest, sit enjoy chats on the couch. Eat some food and drink lots of water.
