We've had a fun start to 2021 with 2 last minute elopement pivots, a proposal and launching the Fernwood Elopement Collective. It was a quick turnaround for all events and I cannot say thank you enough to Haley and Annikka at Ruffled Rose and Alexandria at Past Pieces. You ladies are seriously the bomb and so much fun to work with and I could not have done any of it without you! Thank you times a million. J+Q got engaged in a park in England so for their intimate elopement... I wanted to recreate that for them. I wanted it to feel like you were walking through the gardens as you walked down the aisle. I incorporated the fireplace to represent the start of this next chapter for J+Q in their new home, Canada. Ruffled Rose brought my vision to life so beautifully! Joyce & Queenie | 02-18-21 Their love story is what they make movies about. Yesterday was a very emotional day for everyone as J&Q finally tied the knot after every bump, twist, and up and down you could think of. Back in Jan 2020, I received an inquiry from J&Q who were living in Hong Kong, and it said "We need help!!!!!!!!!!". You could feel the excitement through their email, and after our first call I knew I just had to be a part of their day and make this happen f...or them. After 100 zoom/skype/whatsapp video calls and millions of whatsapp text messages we planned their wedding which was set for Dec 2020 at Airside in Abbotsford. I have never had so much fun planning a wedding. J is quite the comedian and hilarious and every call was full of laughs. Then "you know what" hit, and forced them to postpone as all of their guests were coming internationally, as well as them! J ended up moving to Vancouver in November and Q stayed in HK. We got awesome news in Dec 2020 that Q was granted permission to come to Canada so they could legally get married (woohoo!). So we quickly revamped and planned an epic elopement for the two of them. Q flew all the way here, and spent 2 weeks in Quarantine so she could say "I do". They have one final hurdle to get over but I know if anyone can do it, it's them. They have their eye on the finish line and nothing will stop them. I am so excited for this next chapter of your epic love story, and your next adventure as you start your life together in Canada.
