Her eyelashes fluttered nervously as she folded her hands in her lap, following my directions. This is the moment. This is the point when our bond must form, that trust must begin to be built. I keep my voice calm and constant. I must never leave her feeling alone, abandoned and not knowing what to do. ... As I lift my camera to my face, blocking our eye contact I continue to speak, continue to guide from behind the lens. I speak until the magic happens. That one split second when the truth shines out from her eyes and and catch my breath as I capture it... Gratitude fills my heart as we move to the next pose, the next outfit, the next set-up.
