Our Tea & Tray Sale in support of Chapman House Residential Hospice made for a great day! Thanks to everyone who supported this event. The Silent Auction "Decorative Wheelbarrow" Planter was generously bought by Lorrie Black of Chesley. Our Draws for Flower Planters were won by Abby Peppler of Hanover, Leona Hutton of Hanover and Jackie Klerks of Elmwood. Our Grand Total raised from Tea & Donut Donations, Draw Ticket Sales, Silent Auction, and $5 From Each Tray of Plants Sold came to $500.00! What great support from our community for such a great cause! Thanks again to everyone involved that made this such a success!

GREENHOUSE CLOSING SALE After 42 years in business, and following much consideration, we have decided to retire from the greenhouse industry. We have greatly enjoyed growing for ALL of our customers and want to extend our deepest THANKS to every single one of you. It has been a wonderful experience! We are all in good health and have decided that it is simply time to hoe another row in the garden of life. As a result we will be having a Greenhouse Closing Sale star...ting Monday Sept. 30th. We cannot say it enough....THANK YOU to all of our customers who came out to our "Tea & Tray Sale" in support of Chapman House Residential Hospice Grey Bruce. We handed the funds raised over to Rachel Taylor (their Funds Development Manager) today - our total raised had grown to $530.00 after a couple more donations were made after our event! Also, thanks to everyone for making one of Colleen's dreams come true - getting to handle one of these super-sized, super-fun, big cheques!!!

Our Tea & Tray Sale is underway for Saturday July 6! Join us from 10 am to 4 pm next Saturday for a Garden Tea Party that will benefit Chapman House Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce. In England they have Tea and Crumpets but here in Elmwood we’re having Tea & Donuts - delicious donuts made by County Line Diner of Elmwood! Tea and donuts will be available by donation. Come and sit and enjoy your tea or wander about the greenhouses. We will be having Draws - tickets are b...eing sold for $1 each to enter for the chance to win selected planters. There is also a Silent Auction in which we will be auctioning off a beautiful Decorative Wheelbarrow Planter. It has a retail value of almost $60.00 and starting minimum bid will be $30.00 - In person bids only. ALL proceeds from the Silent Auction, Draw Tickets, and Tea & Donuts will be donated to Chapman House Residential Hospice. As for the TRAY part of our sale we are inviting you to come in and FILL one of our cardboard carry out trays FULL of any of our annuals and/or any of our selected perennials for only $25 (tax inc). $5 from every tray sold will also go directly to support Chapman House. Our greenhouses still have a very nice selection of quality plants, baskets and planters to choose from. We are open Monday-Saturday 9am - 5pm until June 29th. We will then be closed Sunday June 30th - Tuesday July 2nd. We reopen on Wednesday July 3rd. Our July hours will then be Wednesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm. Keep an eye on our upcoming posts as we are working away on planning an upcoming event on Saturday July 6th that will benefit a great local charity! More details soon!

If you're out enjoying the nice weather and working in your garden we have a great selection of veggie plants if you're still planting or just filling holes in your garden. Open Saturday 9-5, Closed Sunday.

We're just showing off this Supertunia Picasso in Purple that are growing in some of our remaining planters...it certainly is a super branchy petunia plant covered in blooms irregardless of our cloudy weather!

Our hours for the remainder of June are Monday - Saturday 9 am - 5pm.

If we could transmit the heavenly honey-like smell of these snapdragons through the screen of your device - well, that would really be great technology! Guess you'll just have to come in and smell them for yourself! It's Father's Day tomorrow and if your Dad is a gardener bring him in to browse the flowers and veggie plants and simply enjoy some time together! Have a Happy Father's Day!
