The men's section of the Morrisburg Golf club had a great day Saturday, Sept. 19 as they ended this unusual season with a "Fun Day" of golf. Sixty-two golfers were on hand for the golf, followed by a catered roast pork dinner and the handing out of a few prizes. Mick Mabo was recognized for his hole-in-one, aced a few weeks back. The top golfers of the day were Brian McNairn in A flight, Larry Cooper in B flight, Don Lennard in C flight. The net wins went to Lee Beaupre in A ...flight, Steve Boucher in B flight and Fred Langlotz in C flight. A number of other prizes were awarded in the flights and in the non-handicap division along with some door prizes. Many thanks to everyone who participated...it was great to see everyone....from a safe Covid distance. Hopefully next year, our program will be back to normal. Saturday, Sept.12th the Ladies are ready to rumble. This was the final fun golf for the Wednesday night Ladies. We had a beautiful day , weather was great and everyone had a lot of fun. There were 46 Ladies out to play and enjoyed pizza afterwards. Congratulations to the winning team this year went to Dianne Gallinger, Crystal Belanger and Bonnie Brisbois with a score of 73. Second place , very close behind with a 74 was Kelly Lackey, Shannon Casselman, Tina Coligan and Judy Laurin. Many thanks to everyone that helped make this another successful fun event. Special thanks to Kelly Lackey for all her help.
