CIBC is raising its five-year fixed-rate mortgage rate Tuesday by 15 basis points. They are the last of the Big Six banks to announce an interest rate hike.

Funds available for private second mortgages $50,000 and under quick turnaround (10 days to fund). Interest starting at 12% and 3% for lenders. These funds can be used for a short fall-in purchase, equity take for renovations, school, vacation, downpayment to purchase another property, or to repair credit and consolidate credit card debt. FEBRUARY DEAL: First Mortgage at 3.45% 5-Year Fixed. At first, the clients couldn't meet financing due to new Stress Test rules, but we managed to work with the credit union to complete this deal.

FEBRUARY DEAL: I helped client get a second mortgage of $48,000 at a 12% interest rate through a private lender. Funds were used to assist clients in paying CRA and outstanding HST as both husband and wife are self-employed.
