From my own personal family photo session. This is my son Kristian and my daughter Hannah. I try to do an annual photo session with my family every year, and when I do I always make sure I get an image of my kids together. I love looking back at these images and see them grow up over the years, and if you are a parent you know how quickly that happens. These are some of my most precious images and I’m so glad I forced them to pose for me over the years haha!!

Real vs. Filtered. Did you know that there are now young generations that believe they are ugly because they don’t look like filters? Starting as young as eleme...ntary school young girls are using filters to feel beautiful. Filters can be fun but, what’s the flip side? What’s the cost? A little girl in her room looking in a mirror and hating her reflection because it is real. So she picks up a phone and snaps a face that is fake. Posts the photo on her social media and gets a bunch of likes. Positive reinforcement on a photo that isn’t real. I’m not bashing the fun side, I get it’s entertaining. I just hope that as grown women we can always encourage these young girls THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL WITHOUT THE FILTER. And Men! Fathers talk to your daughters. Tell them how much you value the real beauty if women. I see photos all the time of filters and they are cute.. but YOU are beautiful without the filter. Don’t be afraid to show the real you.
