If you are going to be hurting financially due to the current measures being taken to avoid spread of this pandemic be proactive. There are many programs available to help with more on the way. Stay updated to government assistance, call your lenders if you dont have the money to cover a car payment, credit card or line of credit payment or your mortgage. They arent monsters, they can and will help!!! The last thing you want through all this is to miss some payments, have your credit take a hit and be subject to penalties and extra fees. Be responsible, be patient, be Proactive!!

An excerpt from an article I read about how the stress test is not responsive enough to the current market forces. Banks have a strong incentive to inflate their posted mortgage rate. For one thing, they are the basis for the calculation of big-bank mortgage penalties. Also, they are the minimum qualifying rate. If you think your bank has your back.....think again. They are profit centres for their shareholders. While they have a major influence on the mortgage market, they also make record profits year over year!
