Leona's thought for the day! I'm living proof of that!

MOVING TO NOVA SCOTIA? SO ARE WE! NOW I CAN HELP YOU! My husband and I celebrated 25 years of marriage on March 2, and as a gift to each other we decided to purchase a home in Nova Scotia, a place we both love dearly. This is a move we have talked about taking for the past 26 years but never really knew if we would feel prompted, led by the Lord, to take that leap of faith or not. Then it happened! We woke up one morning, after weeks of spring cleaning followed by stagin...g and said today is the day! The decision was made! This decision will allow my husband to be with his only sibling, his brother, and other family members. Much more importantly, it will allow him to retire. He is now 72 years of age and deserves that! (Yes, he is muuuuuch older than me!) If I can do nothing else for him, I wish to at least give him that! For me, it will give me a fresh start in Real Estate. Our hearts and minds were at peace about all of this, so I listed our property by that afternoon! It sold in a few short days. I then drove to Nova Scotia and completed my 14 days of isolation, during which I obtained my Real Estate Associate Broker’s license and joined Royal LePage Atlantic Realty. They were, at the time of my research, ranked number one in real estate sales in Nova Scotia. As soon as my isolation time ended, I began my search for our property and within a week we purchased a home and I attended our home inspection. Yes, I had my real estate licence in hand and represented myself and my husband in our purchase. Who better to do that than me! The commission I will receive from our purchase will cover my Real Estate start up costs. It’s all good when you have a plan! We bought a lovely bungalow on an acre lot in the South Shore area of Nova Scotia. We take possession of it on April 27. Now I hold two provincial Real Estate Broker’s Licenses, one in Ontario and the other in Nova Scotia. Once moved and unpacked, my plan is to continue to assist my past clients, friends, family members and those who seek my expertise in Ontario with solid professional advice, referrals as needed, and direct one-on-one assistance to help them buy and sell, when the opportunity presents itself. Best of all, I will also now be in a position to help other Ontarians who wish to make the move to Nova Scotia a simpler experience, given the fact that I have completed the entire process myself.
