My Friday night went like this - I had caught up on work for what felt like the first time in forever, so I logged off a bit early to enjoy some quiet time reading the @glennondoyle book I’ve been meaning to finish. My phone rang at 5:15 - it was a realtor calling me in a bit of a panic. Her clients had a Condition of Financing expiring that night, and they didn’t know if they were good to go or not (not my clients......yet). Could I help? Yup. ... I logged back on, called the clients, and got things started. We chatted and texted right up until 10 pm last night. This is their first home purchase, and I want it to go as smoothly for them as possible. The person they had been dealing with was not easily accessible by phone or email, and was not responding to them. Buying a home is the biggest investment you will make! You want to be sure you (and your clients) are dealing with a true professional! Happy to say we are on our way to a full approval today and I’ve got a lovely new set of clients. I’m happy to be helping with this incredible organization again this year. Love Boxes were inspired by ‘Super Sophia’ who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia when she was one month shy of turning 2. Sophia wanted to gift the children in hospitals with a Love Box to help uplift their spirits and to encourage them to never give up. Last year, thanks to the incredible people I know, I was able to drop off over 300 filled Love Boxes ... 3 YEARS!! I celebrate this day every year - the day I took a huge leap of faith and joined the Mobile Mortgage Team. WHAT a year it has been. I have to admit in March I was pretty terrified when COVID shut everything down. I certainly never predicted that I would have the busiest year of my career so far. Adjusting to working from home full time (I SO miss meeting people in person), with kids home with me full time for the majority of the year, was definitely difficult at ti...mes. My kids deserve a big trip (whenever we can get back to those!) to thank them for their patience and understanding. I’m also extremely thankful for the support of my hubby - after working busy shifts at the hospital he would come home and take care of us, cooking us delicious dinners and managing the house so I could manage my business. It truly takes a team and I couldn’t do it alone. I want to thank everyone - friends, family, colleagues, realtors, neighbours - for their ongoing support and referrals. I’m honoured that so many of you allow me to help with your home financing needs. I’m looking forward to the next year in this role.
