We thought we would try something new today. This is an open Q&A session where you can ask us any questions you have, and we will do our best to answer them for you!
With calving season in full swing, this is an excellent reminder to have your VCPR in place or updated to avoid unnecessary delays. VCPRs (or Veterinary Client Patient Relationships) are a vital tool in the success of a producer's operation, as well as the success of the entire meat producing industry. We look forward to continuing to build relationships with our existing producers, as well as build new relationships with future producers, and to work together to provide excellent animal care.
Does your pet have anxiety about coming to the vet clinic, or do you want to prevent possible future anxiety? Stop by for a "Happy Visit"! Bring your pet to the clinic and we will give them lots of positive attention and treats to help them become more comfortable with the clinic. If your pet has aggression towards other animals, now is the perfect time time for a Happy Visit as we don't have any booked appointments until the 14th of April. If you have any questions or concerns, message us or give us a call!
Temperatures are rising, spring in in the air, and its a new month! You know what that means... new cover photo contest! This time, let's see everyone's odd and unusual pets. *Please ensure all submitted photos are in a landscape format. You are still free to share your portrait format photos, but they will not be used as cover photos.* Winning photo(s) will be chosen this Friday at 12:00 noon.
ATTENTION: Dr Leisa will be gone from April 2nd to April 13th. If you need medication refills or have doctor specific medical questions, please call us today, March 31, or tomorrow, April 1, to discuss. For all emergencies or urgent appointments during this time, we will be referring to the Peace River Vet Clinic. Thank you for your understanding.
With calving season around the corner (or already here, for some), it is especially important to ensure your VCPR is up to date so you can avoid unnecessary delays in receiving medications. If you do not have a valid VCPR, please be advised that you may be *denied cattle medications.* If you do not have a VCPR, or are unsure if your VCPR has expired (they require annual renewal) please give us a call and we would be happy to assist you! We are looking forward to working wit...h our producers to ensure this calving season is as stress-free as possible. For more information regarding the VCPR regulation, please visit the link posted below https://www.canadianveterinarians.net/valid-vcpr
Please be advised that we are still enforcing our locked door policy. We are still open regular hours, but clients are not permitted in the building at this time. When you arrive at the clinic, *please call us first*! Whether here for an appointment, food pickup, or other reasons, it is important that you call us first so; - we know you're here - we can verify your information - we know which vehicle to come to in the parking lot.... It is important to limit close interactions as much as possible for the safety of our staff and clients. We appreciate your understanding! See more
The snow is melting and spring is just around the corner. Make sure your equine partner isn't carrying any unwanted baggage into the summer! Now is the perfect time to test and deworm horses, as we are still reaching freezing temperatures at night. Introducing, "Fecal Fridays!" Every friday from now until April 30th we are offering equine fecal tests at a discounted rate. Bring in a sample and we can have results for you within 20 minutes. Call or message us with any questions
We are pleased to begin introduction of Cold Laser Therapy treatments at FVC. Cold Laser therapy has numerous applications, including, but not limited to... - Pain relief - Inflammation reduction - Triggering acupressure points - Increased wound healing... - Skin rejuvenation ... and tender soles (equine) to name a few! We would like to slowly integrate this treatment into the clinic by first offering post-operative laser treatments for routine small animal surgeries (dog and cat spay and neuter). If you have a pet that you think may benefit from Cold Laser Therapy and would like to discuss future treatments, call us at (780) 835-2750, or email us at [email protected]. See more
New month means new cover photo contest! We would like to showcase our adorable patients once again with a cover photo. The photo (landscape format only) with the most likes on Monday, February 8th, will be uploaded as our new cover photo for the month of February.
With COVID regulations, our 2021 Cow-Calf Producer meeting will be completely virtual! RSVP to [email protected] for the upcoming events on February 9th, 16th, and 23rd.
We love seeing everyone's amazing pet pictures, so let's keep the photo contest going! Comment all of your adorable pets (in a landscape format photo), and the top 5 photos on Friday at lunch will be the new cover photos for the month of March
In an effort to serve our customers better during these difficult times, we have decided to add a remote nutritional consult feature! Good health starts with good nutrition, so we would like to give owners the tools they need to set their pet up for success, now and in the future. Simply fill out the online form, and we will contact you within 4 business days with our best recommendations. (For more complex consultations, it may take us longer to get back to you with a recom...mendation while we work with a veterinary nutritionist to find the right food for your pet.) This service is free for the time being while we work out any issues we may encounter. If you have any issues or comments regarding the form, drop a comment below and we will do our best to fix it. https://fairviewvets.wufoo.com/forms/z128tnc511hh7wm/
