I've been doing some online courses lately (because learning is sexy ya'll) - and there was a question from @brookeshaden in her Creative Live tutorial that really resonated with me. She said every time someone views your art they are interacting with it. Ignoring it is an action, feeling something is an action, being upset/mad/bothered is an action. That by creating art, you are creating a call to action. "What do you want your call to action to be when you create?" . . . I ...thought about this for a while. Obviously the initial thought is: to book with me so they can look and feel this magnificent too! But no. That's not the heart of it, that's a by-product. . . . What I want my call to action to be is release. Freedom. I want people to see my art and breathe deeper. I want them to see my art and feel peaceful, hopeful, and curious. I want it to plant a seed that will germinate into a question. I want that question to be: "what am I waiting for?" What are you waiting for, to love yourself a bit deeper? To treat yourself like a masterpiece and one-of-a-kind-work-of-are. What are you waiting for? Breathe. See more

I want to romanticize the fuck out of my life. Because no one, not one person, gets off this ride alive. So why not make the most of it? I want to dance in the rain.... I want to feel the rain drops on my face. I want to feel the ground under my bare feet. I want to feel the waves of the ocean lick against my body. I want to take myself on grand adventures: Across the world, into my backyard, deep into my own mind. I want to laugh at the vastness of it all. I want to remember that this is all we have. That there’s no time to spend doing anything less than what sets myself aflame. No time to spend doubting myself, my abilities. No time to spend at war with my body. There’s only time for love, joy, laughter, and making the most of this wild ride. See more

YA'LL. ARE. F*CKING. GODDESSES. . . . That's all I wanted to shout at you today, apparently. I just wanted to remind you if you've been in my studio before: you're a goddess. If you want to be in the studio but you're holding yourself back: YOU'RE A GODDESS. And even if you don't want to be in the studio at all (what!?) you are STILL A F*CKING GODDESS.... . . . Ok that's all thanks for coming to my internet party plz carry on with your day (but maybe incorporate some of that BGE - big goddess energy - into your day with you, ya?) See more

A lot of clients choose to keep their photos private, and that's all totally bueno! But some clients allow me to share their photos, and some clients even share their own photos and write their own badass as f*ck captions that make goosebumps spread all over my skin, and really reaffirm the work that I'm doing. This babe is one of the latter. She wrote such an inspiring caption to go with one of the images from my shoot, and it really just made my heart sing. To every single ...one of my clients (private photo holders, or roof-top-self-love-singers): thank you for standing in your power. Thank you for being unapologetically yourself. Thank you for entrusting me to share this space and moment in time with you, to create something that will last a lifetime. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. . . . PS ya'll need to follow this badass babes account + support her business this holiday season! She brought me the most amazing bath salts + migraine roller for my migraines, and I have no doubt her other products/offerings are equally as amazing. @heidimackk @ Victoria, British Columbia See more

Sometimes you just have to stand in your fear and know that growth comes from discomfort. Comfort zones make great sanctuaries and respites, but you meet yourself deepest when you dare to roam outside those borders.

The post I originally had lined up for today I’m holding off on posting because of the new community guidelines. They’ve got me more nervous about what I post than usual. I feel like we are constantly walking on eggshells on this platform, trying our best to behave and follow their archaic Puritan guidelines, when they only make them stricter - really letting us know they don’t want us here. Make sure to support your artists who these new strict guidelines affect (especially artists of marginalized communities - this will affect them unfairly even more so). . . . The link to my newsletter is in my bio, please consider subscribing if you enjoy my work and hearing from me.

Today's contribution to #joyvember (brain child of @terihofford) filling your feeds to joy and light for November . . . These shots were taken in Bali in February of this year - what now feels a million lifetimes ago. Before Covid was a heavy reality on our side of the planet - but flying in through Taipei, being asked if we had been in mainland China, and seeing locals wearing masks... the new world was starting to emerge. It was impossible to ignore. Even so, we managed t...o find our bliss in the jungle. . . This sanctuary and container created by @missrosiebitts was unreal to behold, and to be a part of. I feel like I watched everyone blossom in their own way, folding inward, and breathing outward. I can't wait to be back again, one day, holding space with beautiful humans and creating art in the jungle. For now, I get to close my eyes and remember the scents of sounds of the jungle, and the laughter of magical humans coming together. @ Victoria, British Columbia See more

We know what the world wants from us. We know we must decide whether to stay small, quiet, and uncomplicated or allow ourselves to grow as big, loud, and complex as we were made to be. Every girl must decide whether to be true to herself or true to the world. Every girl must decide whether to settle for adoration or fight for love. - Glennon Doyle Melton @ Victoria, British Columbia

Having a lover/friend who regards you as a living growing criatura, being, just as much as the tree from the ground, or a ficus in the house, or a rose garden out in the side yard... having a lover and friends who look at you as a true living breathing entity, one that is human but made of very fine and moist and magical things as well... a lover and friends who support the ciatura in you... these are the people you are looking for. They will be the friends of your soul for life. Mindful choosing of friends and lovers, not to mention teachers, is critical to remaining conscious, remaining intuitive, remaining in charge of the fiery light that sees and knows. - Clarissa Pinkola Estés
