It’s been a very busy few days around the Manitoba Bull Development Centre. Huge thank you to Bennett Foster Kendra Graham and Cody Nolan for clipping all of th...e bulls and females for pictures in a few weeks. There was a total of 124 animals done. There were some late nights and early mornings, it’s a good thing we had good lights! The bulls and females are ready to be viewed and are looking great! Stop by to view the cattle and have a visit! Mosside Markette 19H Sired by Mark VI. Her half brother is working in the Muridale herd. Watch for this heifer in the future.
Mark VI is enjoying some holiday time since he finished breeding for the year. His first bunch of calves born this spring are growing like weeds. Stylish, colourful, masculine bulls and feminine heifers.
One of our herd matrons, 18B. Her mother, 18X, was successfully flushed to Woody Hills Mark 6th this summer.
Hill Haven Defender is enjoying some R&R now that breeding season is over. We are looking forward to seeing his calves in the spring.
Blues the ever popular shorthorn cross that invariably bring a premium. Shorthorn x Angus, Shorthorn x Hereford or Shorthorn x Galloway all make phenomenal Brit...ish cross cows to breed back continental or to produce more maternal replacements. No matter the colour they work hard and raise great calves. See more

Meet the new Mosside mascot, Laddie!
Our current herdire, Mark VI is a son of Woody Hills Mark 6th who was grand champion Shorthorn bull at Agribition in 1972. Woody Hills Mark 6th was sold to the famous Scotsdale herd and was the first polled bull to walk their pastures. Brothers of Woody Hills Mark 6th were sold to Scotland and South Africa. We are really liking the looks of Mark VI’s calves!
