Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters. #HIPPY is the flagship program of the Mothers Matter Centre - where it all began when HIPPY was brought to Canada back in 2000. #MMC2020 HIPPY is an international program that was developed over 50 years ago in Israel and is now licensed to over 14 countries globally! Early Language Learning (ELL) is a specially designed curriculum to support mothers who have the basic needs of the HIPPY program and low levels of English literacy. ELL was developed by the Mothers Matter Centre to accompany the HIPPY family literacy program but can also be used as a stand-alone program. The curriculum is free to use and the Mothers Matter Centre is keen to support organizations in using it. After a lot of research, we're launching our first program aimed at TODDLERS! Supporting Mothers and Raising Toddlers (SMART) is a 30-week play-based learning program for children aged 18-36 months. Our program delivery partners HIPPY Halton, Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society, Tsleil-Waututh Nation and Squamish Nation are launching SMART for the first time this month.
