Shruggin’ into the weekend like. Are you maximizing your trap gains with your shrugs? Most people do shrugs while holding their hands by their sides. However, you will have significantly higher muscle activation (and thus gains) of your traps when your hands are out around 30 degrees away from your body.... If you are using dumbbells or a barbell, try it out with a reduced weight to really target those muscles. Slow down the movement and squeeze at the top for a few seconds before slowly lowering down.

Join our group fitness instructor, Katriona in this 30 minute Barre workout! This class utilizes basic Barre movements to overload your smaller muscles groups to help lengthen and tone! If you’re new to Barre, no worries! Katriona provides variations for all fitness levels! Glutes ... Legs Core Katriona will be using a yoga mat, resistance band and a ball for the duration of the workout. If you don’t have this equipment at home Katriona provides at home substitutes. Sticking to your fitness goals while also enjoying the holidays is KEY! Just remember to: Stay hydrated - Water helps proper digestion and is going to help your everything in your body to stay regular.... Get moving - Take some time to get your heart rate up and get your sweat on! Even if it’s just a walk around your neighborhood, a quick jog, or a 30 minute body circuit - try to get at least a little activity in! Let us know what your favourite tips are!
