In collaboration with Alberta Transportation, portions of Highway 734 (Forestry Trunk Road) have been specifically designated to allow for off-highway vehicle (...OHV) use. This is a temporary pilot project. Road portions are shown in yellow in the 2021 Bighorn Backcountry brochure available here: https://open.alberta.ca//bighorn-backcountry-public-land-u (first PDF) #KnowB4UGo: Maximum OHV speed limit is 50 km/hour. Drive as close as possible to the right edge of the roadway, unless passing another OHV travelling in the same direction or preparing for a left turn. Except when passing, OHVs must not be driven beside one another. You must travel in a line when moving in the same direction.
