We were honoured to receive and tour the Fraser Health Authority Board members Chairperson Karen Matty, Financer Marcus Delves, and CEO Michael Marchbank. We believe they were suitably impressed with Mountain View Home, the grounds, the leadership, the staff, and of course the residents. Although non-committal they appreciated, the diverse programming provided consistently at our facility. We continue to pursue our goal.

This morning, the Honourable Darryl Plecas Liberal MLA for Abbotsford came to tour Mountain View Home and was amazed by the facility. He immediately felt the comfortable, safe, family atmosphere. Mr. Plecas is obviously a man of great integrity, and assured us he will advocate for Mountain View. Further, he provided us with forward moving strategies and we feel confident in our cause. Darryl enjoyed interacting with residents and it was an uplifting experience for everyone. We will over come!

Hello Everyone, Our efforts behind the scenes continue in our quest to fill the vacant beds at Mountain View Home. The Honourable Liberal MLA Darryl Plecas for Abbotsford has agreed to tour Mountain View this month. This is wonderful news as he is the first member of the governing party to attend the facility and we will be able to express the level of quality care consistently provided to our residents and the beautiful setting in which they reside. ... Secondly, our vocal participation at the Community Fraser Health Authority Board Meetings and continuous contact has resulted in Fraser Health Board Chair Karen Matty, and Fraser Health Board Member John Bethel agreeing to tour Mountain View. As the board continues to respond to questions regarding the home without ever viewing, and experiencing the successful rehabilitation, and recovery programming provided daily at the home. The goal is to fund these desperately needed vacant beds. We continue to persevere, and we believe these are two major steps that will contribute to our sustainability. Remember to save the date June 15th for the next Community Fraser Health Board Meeting in Abbotsford, location and time TBA.
