The world has certainly changed since we gathered in Whistler last year for the 2019 MTB Tourism Symposium. The pandemic has affected everyone and changed the way we connect with one another. Thankfully, mountain biking continues to thrive as a healthy respite from these stressful times. It may be premature or wishful thinking, but if things start moving in the right direction and we are allowed to come together in a safe manner by following the appropriate protocols, we wi...ll have the next MTB Tourism Symposium at SilverStar Resort on September 15-17, 2021. Please mark your calendars and cross your fingers! More updates will be announced in the new year as we learn more about the light at the end of the COVID tunnel. #TBT Kyle Norbraten, James Doerfling, and Tom van Steenbergen want to rediscover their Canadian homeland. In search of undiscovered trails, they follow the Fraser River north from the Sunshine Coast to the Sibola mountain range in British Columbia. The three mountain bikers plan to reach deep into their bag of tricks to build and ride features along the way, but they'll need the right terrain. Til now, the Sibola rangenamed after one of the mythical Seven Cities of Goldhas never been tested for its bikeability, but they're hoping to strike it big...

Trails played a critical role in the recovery from the wildfires, enhancing health and well-being and the capacity for communities to respond to the emergency. They attracted people to return and rebuild and served as a rallying point for communities deeply impacted and traumatized by the crisis.
