I’m not sure about you but we LOVE candles. The one thing we don’t enjoy is how fast they collect dust. There is a very simple trick to removing the dust from the candles. Rub the outside gently with a old stocking and you will have it looking good as new in no time!

Thank you everyone for the over whelming amount of support we have received in the last week since we have opened our doors. We are extremely excited to be working with the clients we have and the clients we will have in the future. We wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that between the hours of 6pm and 8am we will not be responding to messages. Does your garbage disposal have a horrible smell? Here is a super simple way to clean it and have it smelling better in no time. Cut up a lemon into a quarters, while running the water put one quarter down at a time! You will have your garbage disposal smelling better in no time.

There are so many things you can use your dishwasher to wash besides dishes! Rubber flip flops, canvas sneakers, baseball caps, rubber kids toys, contact lens cases and mouth guards to name a few. What are items you wash in your dishwasher?

Here at Mountain Cat Cleaning we are pet lovers. Both of our houses are always covered in pet hair, the couches especially. Two super handy ways to get pet hair off your furniture is a squeegee or a wet rubber glove. All you need to do is drag your item of choice down and across the couch until they are clean. This also works wonders on thick carpets!

Do you have stuck on food in your microwave? Take a soaking wet dish cloth and stick it in the microwave for 45 seconds. Once it is done let the cloth cool down (because it will be HOT) and wipe the inside with a rag. Repeat if needed.

Looking for a non-toxic way to clean your toilet bowl? Using one cup of baking soda, 15 drops of tea tree oil and 15 drops of either lemon or orange essential oils (lemongrass is our personal favorite) drop it all into the bowl of your toilet to sit for 30 minutes. Once the time is up give it a scrub and flush it all away.

We have a couple last minute spots open for next week and we would love to fill them with your home. Everyone deserves a much needed break from cleaning! We are offering a extra 10% off your last minute spot next week if you have booked by 7pm tonight.

Do you have a old carpet stain that you have no idea where it came from? Here is a little cleaning tip to get it out. Using a spray bottles filled with 1/4 cup of white vinegar, 2 tablespoons of dish soap, and water, spray the stain until damp. Let the solution sit on the stain for ten to fifteen minutes. After blot the area dry! Repeat if need. You will have your carpet looking new in no time!

We recently had someone show us some kindest with a pay it forward act, and we would like to do the same. Started in the month of September we would like to gift someone a free 4 man hour clean.
