A few more lovely moments. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
Merry Christmas from the Walford Family Homestead! What a lovely treat to have Roger Benham and my Mamabear making lovely music together in her new music room!
Well, Friends, here we are on Christmas Eve. Suddenly it feels like this happened very quickly. It's been quite a year, with lots of changes, ups and downs, and many unexpected things in all our lives. We hope this finds you well, and preparing for a smoother year ahead. We will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and 27, and then open until Dec.31st, then closed Jan 1, 2 and 3. We will have a sale happening for the last 4 days of December. Our warmest wishes for you all for Christmas... and the New Year. We look forward to seeing you all again at Mountain Eagle Books. Just have to share a couple of great quotes I found recently from Pete Seeger.: 1) My job is to show folks that there is a lot of good music in this world, and if used right it may help to save the planet. 2)The only trouble is now you learned it, the song is about over. You'll find that's the way it is with life, too. Nice thing about a song, you can do it over. Wishing you life rich in love and joy and good health. Take care of one another and stay safe.. W
Hello, Everybody! This post is long overdue, but we are still here. Mountain Eagle is still here and alive and well. From now until Christmas Eve. our hours are 9AM to 6PM Monday through Saturday. We have our usual stock of lovely gifts and books and music, card and calendars/datebooks. Our stock of the wonderful hand-made blank journals from our friend Fernando has recently been refilled. He continues to amaze us with his handiwork. Calendars and datebooks are moving ...right along, and cannot be re-ordered at this late date. The selections is good but thinning a bit each day. Check out the hand-crafted perfumes, made in Canada; singing bowls; incense; and myriad gift items. Just a quick reminder to those of you who purchased tickets for events back in the spring: if you forgot to come in for your refund we still have money for a few people. The cancelled events were: the CICK show March 27; BV Concert Divas show March 28; and Relive The Music 50s & 60s Rock 'n' Roll show. There are just a few for local shows, and 5 or 6 for the Relive the Music show. We'd love to give you your refund, so just bring in your tickets. I know every little bit counts in this season. Wishing you all the very best for this season and in the coming year: Hope - Happiness - Good Health.
Hi, Folks! Just a note to say that I (Janet) will be in the store tomorrow Sat. Aug.29 and Mon. Aug.31 all day both days. I'm looking forward to seeing you!
Hi, Folks. It has been a while since my last post, so here's a bit of an update. First, a big thank you to Dean, who has been doing a super job of running the store since we re-opened in late May! I've had lots of people tell me how much they appreciate him. Also much appreciation for the support you've shown to the store as we have gotten back on track. Next, the Relive the Music concert has now been officially cancelled and full refunds are available for anyone who brin...gs in their ticket. The promoters tried to re-schedule, but this was just not meant to be at this time. Third, I (Janet) will be working a couple of Saturday/Monday stints a month starting this weekend (Aug.15th) every other week. I have missed everybody and the store, but wanted to be confident about returning to work. Meanwhile I have been "practicing for my retirement." Looking forward to getting in some visits soon.

Well, hello, everyone! It's now been 2 months since we closed Mountain Eagle Books for everyone's best interest. NOW we are going to re-open carefully, tomorrow, Tuesday May 19. Our hours will start with 10am to 4pm, and we will see how things go. We're happy to welcome you back! Food service will be basically take-out style at first. Sit-down service could barely accommodate 6 people at a time using safe social distancing. We are providing hand sanitizer, and gloves for handling merchandise. We really look forward to seeing you again!
