The Mountain Road Band 26.09.2020

Hello everyone! We know we’ve been pretty quiet the last few months on here so just want to give you all an update on what we’ve been up to! When Covid-19 lockdown happened and our 6 gigs/ceilis for March canceled, we joined so many musicians/performers across the globe in awe of the first St. Patrick’s day in memory that the world was quiet! lol ... Then the two summer weddings we’d been hired to play at were also postponed until a safer time. September rolled around and more ceilis and gigs canceled. In the meantime, we learned how to Zoom, ‘Google Hangouts’ and started practicing/playing together at first by video and eventually when the weather cooperated in person (8’ apart) in a covered gazebo. That truly helped us feel like we were going to get through this together. Fast forward to now and we are excited to announce we will be performing for a promotional video to promote the Carnegie Gallery in Dundas - and the video is to be released in November! Stay tuned for more details! Here’s Martin and Beth playing in the gazebo! AND you can catch them playing live on Saturdays at the Ottawa St Farmer’s Market. Stay safe everyone - we will get through this together. Virtual hugs from Cathy, Ann, Martin & Beth.
