Tomorrow night is our Opening Night for Fall 2019! Please be there approx 5 minutes before class starts. The classes are as Follows: Small Fry Samurai Class (4-8 years old) - 5:45pm-6:15pm... Advanced Class (9 year+) - 6:15pm-7pm Glanbrook Arena - Upper Auditorium

The tournament is this weekend!!! This Sunday March 31st. It will be fun! The location is: Magna Centre, 800 Mulock Drive, Newmarket, Ont. L3Y9C1 (about an hr and 30 min drive from Binbrook). It starts at 10am. So let’s plan to be there at 9:30am. ... All of the students will be competing in Individual Kata. So make sure your kids are practicing all belt levels you know (Your belt level and all katas you have already learned previously). If you are not attending, tune into our Instastories during the event!

As advised in class, on Sunday, March 31st - we have the opportunity to participate in a Karate Competition in Newmarket. The events to complete will be Kata, team Kata and some form of Kumite (one step and three step Kumite - Age depending). All divisions are for children 4-13 years of age. Please let me know if you and your child are interested in travelling, and having your child compete. You can DM to this, call or text me. This will have to be done ASAP. Christmas time is fast approaching and that means our Karate Grading is almost here! On December 19th our students will be showing everything they learned this past season in order to earn their next colour stripe or belt. Excited for these kids to reach their goals! When I was a kid I wanted to be a Ninja Turtle Plain and simple. I started at a young age, and have been at it for 30 years. From competing and coaching to judging and writing, I have participated in Karate in many different aspects. I have been a Karate practitioner since I was 5 years old. I love the sweat, the challenge and the camaraderie that it comes with. I have been given many opportunities because of Karate. Living and training in Japan for 2 years was, definitely, the experience of a lifetime. I want to share what I have learned, to see someone get over a fear, get to work and give the experiences I’ve had to kids and adults alike. - Sensei Andrew

You may not think there’s not a lot of teamwork in Karate, but in fact there is. We lift each other up and cover each other where we are weak. We teach and learn from each other. ‘Teamwork’ is defined as the ‘combined action of a group of people, especially when effective and efficient.’ We are in this and succeed TOGETHER! We are back at school now... Just a quick Note - Wednesday Sept 4th is our first night back for the Fall!!! Classes are running Monday and Wednesday Nights. The Small Fry Samurai Class is from 5:45pm - 6:15pm & The Advanced Class is 6:15 - 7pm. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or referrals.
