He doesn't just sing, folks! This morning Pastor Sam will be leading the service for us, and, along with leading worship, will also be preaching. He'll take us to a different desert than we've been visiting the last few weeks and discuss Jesus' time in the desert. "See" you at 10:30! (or join us any time later!)

MOTHER'S DAY LAMENT This Sunday is Mother's Day and we truly hope that all our mothers and women feel loved and honoured - you are special to us! We also acknowledge that Mother's Day is a hard day for many people. For those who have experienced infertility, the loss of a child, the death of their mother, or estrangement from their child or parent, Mother's Day can be very sad. For this reason, we will be hosting a time of "Mother's Day Lament" for anyone who needs it Sunday at 7 pm via Zoom. Message for link.
Who are you? Maybe you have many ways you answer that question. Maybe: "I'm a nurse" or "I'm an entrepreneur." Maybe "I'm a Mom" or "I'm a grandparent." Maybe "I'm divorced," or "I'm depressed." Sometimes our answers might be different than others, but there is one answer that will always be true. We can ALWAYS say "I am GOD'S." In the desert, this is something we can always remember, and we're going to talk about that today as we gather for Sunday at Home. ... You are welcome to join us right here, live at 10:30, or join with us via video anytime later.

"Are we there yet?" Maybe you have been feeling that a lot these days, as we see weeks of lockdown still to come. Maybe you have felt that at other times in your life when the waiting felt too long. This week we continue to learn from God's people, the Israelites, who had to spend a looooooong time waiting for the thing for which they were longing - the promised land. But while they were - literally - in the desert, God had wonderful things for them to learn. There were way...s to live in the "are we there yet?" season that mattered. Today we will be talking about the important role of helping others while we wait for the promised land. We also look forward to hearing a story of a "life detour" from Yolanda Platt, and we'll once again sing the special music Sam and Mariah wrote for us. "See" you at 10:30 a.m. - live on our public Facebook page, or watch later on fb or YouTube.

Today we start a new series of learning together, called "Where the Spirit of the Lord is...." based on the verse from 2 Corinthians 3:17, which reads "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom." During this time in history when we have been trying to name and end oppression, we will be talking about the ways God calls us to freedom for ourselves, and invites us to bring freedom to others. Join us today as we ask: "Is This Book A Chain?" and look at what the Bible s...ays about freedom. There will be singing, learning and also a special interview with the Montague sisters, who recently founded BLK OWNED HamOnt. We meet live here at 10:30, or you can watch anytime here or on YouTube.
