WHEN THE DEAD RISE TO LIFE, THEY WILL BE LIKE THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN AND WILL NOT MARRY AGAIN Now, there were seven brothers who used to live here. The oldest got married and died without having children, so he left his widow to his brother. The same thing happened to the second brother, to the third, and finally to all seven. Last of all, the woman died. Now, on the day when the dead rise to life, whose wife will she be? All of them had married her. Jesus answered them, How ...wrong you are! It is because you don't know the Scriptures or God's power. For when the dead rise to life, they will be like the angels in heaven and will not marry. Now, as for the dead rising to life: haven't you ever read what God has told you? He said, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ He is the God of the living, not of the dead. When the crowds heard this, they were amazed at his teaching. PREACHERS, STOP APPEARING GOOD ON THE OUTSIDE TO EVERYONE BUT INSIDE YOU ARE FULL OF HYPOCRISY AND SINS How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look fine on the outside but are full of bones and decaying corpses on the inside. In the same way, on the outside you appear good to everybody, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and sins. (Matthew 23:27-28 GNT)

MARRIAGE IS A LIFETIME COVENANT BETWEEN MAN AND WOMAN. NOT THE OPPOSITE! And He answered and said to them, Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate. (Matthew 19:4-6 NKJV)

THERE IS NO COURT OF APPEAL AMONG BELIEVERS BEYOND THE CHURCH If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do yo...u ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? But instead, one brother takes another to courtand this in front of unbelievers! The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters. (1 Corinthians 6:1-8 NIV)

WE SHOULDN'T EVEN KEEP TRACK OF HOW MANY TIMES WE FORGIVE SOMEONE Then Peter came to Him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times? Jesus said to him, I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. (Matthew 18:21-22 NKJV)

THE CHURCH HAS POWER OF BINDING AND LOOSING DECISIONS IN TIMES OF CONFLICTS Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 18:18 NKJV)

PASTORS, YOU MUST NOT BE CALLED TEACHER OR FATHER OR LEADER! They love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to have people call them ‘Teacher.’ You must not be called ‘Teacher,’ because you are all equal and have only one Teacher. And you must not call anyone here on earth ‘Father,’ because you have only the one Father in heaven. Nor should you be called ‘Leader,’ because your one and only leader is the Messiah. The greatest one among you must be your servant. Whoever makes himself great will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be made great. (Matthew 23:7-12 GNT)

YOU MUST OBEY AND FOLLOW EVERYTHING THE PASTORS TELL YOU TO DO So you must obey and follow everything they tell you to do; do not, however, imitate their actions, because they don't practice what they preach. They tie onto people's backs loads that are heavy and hard to carry, yet they aren't willing even to lift a finger to help them carry those loads. (Matthew 23:3-4 GNT)

HOW TERRIBLE FOR YOU TEACHERS OF GOD'S WORD WHO PLAN TO KILL GOD'S MESSENGERS SENT TO YOU! You snakes and children of snakes! How do you expect to escape from being condemned to hell? And so I tell you that I will send you prophets and wise men and teachers; you will kill some of them, crucify others, and whip others in the synagogues and chase them from town to town. As a result, the punishment for the murder of all innocent people will fall on you, from the murder of innocent Abel to the murder of Zechariah son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the Temple and the altar. I tell you indeed: the punishment for all these murders will fall on the people of this day! (Matthew 23:33-36 GNT)

AVOID ARGUING Don't argue with others for no reason when they have never done you any harm. (Proverbs 3:30 GNT)

TRUST IN THE LORD The day I call to you, my enemies will be turned back. I know this: God is on my side... the Lord, whose promises I praise. In him I trust, and I will not be afraid. What can a mere human being do to me? (Psalms 56:9-11 GNT)

GIVE TO THE LORD ALL THAT YOU PROMISED Let the giving of thanks be your sacrifice to God, and give the Almighty all that you promised.... Call to me when trouble comes; I will save you, and you will praise me. (Psalm 50:14-15 GNT)

PUT YOUR HOPE IN THE LORD We put our hope in the Lord; he is our protector and our help.... We are glad because of him; we trust in his holy name. May your constant love be with us, Lord, as we put our hope in you. (Psalms 33:20-22 GNT)

A PRAYER FOR MERCY Remember, O Lord, what has happened to us. Look at us, and see our disgrace.... Our property is in the hands of strangers; foreigners are living in our homes. Our fathers have been killed by the enemy, and now our mothers are widows. We must pay for the water we drink; we must buy the wood we need for fuel. Driven hard like donkeys or camels, we are tired, but are allowed no rest. (Lamentations 5:1-5 GNT)

THE LORD IS MERCIFUL The Lord is merciful and will not reject us forever. He may bring us sorrow, but his love for us is sure and strong.... He takes no pleasure in causing us grief or pain. (Lamentations 3:31-33 GNT)
