***Update*** As we look forward to seeing all of our wonderful patients again, we would like to explain the current situation. Although the Premier has advised that dentistry will be able to reopen after the coming long weekend, there are two things that need to happen before we can resume services. Firstly, the PHO, Dr. Henry, needs to lift the order that limits dentists to providing emergency treatment. Secondly, the College of Dental Surgeons of BC will need to provide t...he protocols and guidelines that we as an industry will have to follow to keep patients and staff safe. Until those two criteria are met, we are unable to take bookings for non-emergency procedures. If you are experiencing an emergency at this time please contact our office. We are working hard to be ready for the time to welcome our patients once again, but have been advised that it may be a slow progression back to full time care. The health and safety of our patients and staff is always our top priority. As such, services at Mountview Dental have been adjusted to reflect the current global pandemic of the Covid-19 virus. The College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia recommends all elective and non-essential dental services be suspended at once. Treatment for emergencies such as infection, acute pain and trauma can continue. We will abide by these guidelines. Non-essential treatment will be hal...ted, but emergency treatment will be triaged according to severity, need and risk assessment. Treatment may include self treatment recommendations, prescription medication called into your local pharmacy with remote monitoring, or treatment at the office with best practices for infection/pandemic control. If you require emergency treatment, please call Dr. Audenart directly at 250-510-2333 to be assessed by phone. This is a dynamic situation and we will continue to keep you informed of any further developments as it relates to the ability to care for our patients. Please abide by advice and counsel of health officials and keep yourself and your families safe and healthy.
