Today is The Move's 18th birthday! Thank you to Erica Ross for reminding us and to all the other founders and community members who have fostered the growth of ecstatic dance in Ontario and especially Toronto. We have all benefited from your steadfast commitment and are honoured to continue the legacy.

Please consider signing this petition, created by our own Sarah Jones, to show community support for a new dance centre in Toronto. A group of dance companies and social dance organizers will use this to help raise funds to secure a new home for dance. We are deeply saddened to inform our Move community of the loss of yet another music and dance venue in Toronto. Dovercourt House, our home since 2003, is closing permanently as a dance space. It truly is the end of an era for our community and we would like to commemorate it with you. Our friends at the Rise and Shine Shake will be co-producing an online dance and community sharing event with us this Friday evening and likely next Friday as well. Please stay tuned for details.
