This year’s holiday season will be tough for many families. The Lower Mainland Purpose Society for Youth and Families runs an annual Christmas Hamper program to identify those families who may need a little extra help and holiday cheer We are so proud of the Movéo Walnut Grove team coming together to donate all these presents to the family we are sponsoring this year! The Lower Mainland Purpose Society for Youth and Families is preparing for our 29th Annual Christmas Hamper ...Program. Over the course of the year, their counsellors and staff have worked with some families who are particularly in need. Although the struggle to feed and clothe their children exists throughout the year, at Christmas time their need is most keenly felt. These people have not sought help, but have been identified by the purpose society as those in difficult financial circumstance and we are happy to be able to allow them to have a happy holiday as well and to give back. In accordance with updated CDC guidelines, all of our clients and clinic staff will be required to wear medical-grade face masks. Masks will be provided for clients who do not have one. A medical-grade face mask is a mask that meets ASTM International and ISO (or equivalent) performance requirements for bacterial filtration efficiency, particulate filtration efficiency, fluid resistance, pressure differential, flame spread, skin sensitivity and cytotoxic testing. Staff and patient safety is of utmost importance to us and we continue to have stringent cleaning and sanitization protocols. Last Thursday, our Movéo team attended a virtual in-service to learn about our new shockwave therapy machine. We are excited to add this treatment modality to our toolboxes. We are hiring! Movéo Sport & Rehabilitation Centre Walnut Grove was established in April 2017. Our new modern facility is located next the Walnut Grove Innovative Fitness in a highly visible busy corridor. We are looking for a Chiropractor to take over an established caseload. A chiropractor certified in Active Release Techniques (or similar technique) would be a great addition to our team treatment environment that includes physiotherapists, chiropractors, registered massa...ge therapists, naturopathic physicians and doctors of traditional Chinese medicine/ registered acupuncturists. We are looking for a Chiropractor to take over a caseload for a current therapist who is moving another clinic. We are open to either part time or full time hours and are flexible with shifts available with some evenings or Saturday hours available which are the best for growing a caseload. New grads are welcome to apply! We have established a number community ties since we have moved into the neighbourhood, and our reputation stands firm in this community. The clinic has full time reception, on site laundry, online charting and all lotions and equipment is provided. Athletic therapist treat more than just sports injuries! They are trained in functional assessment, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and bracing and taping. We welcome our first athletic therapist, Mischa Partridge, to the Walnut Grove team! Mischa competed at an elite level with the National BMX and National Track Cycling teams. He now coaches the Provincial BMX team and works closely with the National Volleyball team.
