One of our favourite things about our dancers at Move Performing Arts is that they are so supportive of each other. Introducing our Move Mavericks program; a hip hop and breakdancing program for boys ages 7-10. But who will be teaching them? Let's get to know our amazing Move Mavericks teacher, Mr. Julian! Mr. Julian is currently a hip hop choreographer for the University of Windsor’s Lancers Competitive Dance Team for the third year in a row. He is enrolled at St. Clair College with the hopes of pursuing a career in Environmental Chemistry where he can fulfill his dream of doing his part ...in saving the planet. Mr. Julian found dance at a young age more as a hobby than anything else but soon it grew into a passion. Mr. Julian has tried Lyrical, Modern and even Ballet, as he was granted the part of Nutcracker in a local studio’s annual production of Nutcracker. He would find that he specialized in Hip Hop and has since become an active choreographer. Mr. Julian trained extensively at the HNM Dance Centre in Windsor to practice and improve on his choreographing abilities. Because of this, many of his pieces have yielded 1st and 2nd place within OSSDF, UDC University Challenge, U/C Challenge and Rhythm Dance Competition. He has also hosted many drop-in workshops both for OSSDF and the University of Windsor.
