Moving Together 01.01.2021

Finding balance during a pandemic is hard work. It seems as though new challenges are thrown our way every day, or new losses that we hadn’t considered before, and it takes time to recover after losing our equilibrium. . Today I wanted to remind you that it’s ok to fall over, and that falling down brings us closer to the ground, closer to stability. Also, maybe check in with yourself to see if there are any unnecessary challenges you’re taking on right now. Even though it m...ight not feel like it, you’re doing enough just by getting through each day. . You're probably experiencing a lot of feelings right now, and sometimes it's hard to know what to do with them all. My therapist once asked me a question: what if you could trust that everything you're feeling, everything you're doing, is exactly the right thing in this moment? In my latest blog post, I reflect on how this question has helped me be with some of the challenging, and also the beautiful, feelings that have moved through me since this period of isolation began. I hope it offers you some of the comfort and ease it has inspired in me. https://moving-together.ca/2020/04/03/untitled-unknown/

Welcome to my new studio (aka my living room)! Like many others, I have decided to move my therapy practice online for the time being. While I’m sad to lose the in person connection and the beautiful space at @torontoyogaco, I know this change is for the best. . Practicing virtually is very different, and certainly has its limitations, yet I have been surprised by how much depth of connection and attunement has been possible through video sessions, both in my individual and... group work. I still feel my body and my heart responding as though we are in the space together, and I trust that the restrictions will bring about exciting and creative new possibilities! . If you’re needing some extra support at this time, please reach out! I would love to move together through this challenging time. . #dancemovementtherapy #movementismedicine #dmtcanada #torontotherapy See more

Hi everyone! The panic is rising out there, and you might be struggling to regulate. Jane Clapp has made this free co-regulation webinar, which I found very useful in finding some grounding and accessing my embodied resources. Sending love to you all <3
