You deserve this recognition, and we wish you all the best in your new role.
Day 4 of #MowiSafetyWeek has been another day filled with the passion our employees have for safety. We received this great picture of Samantha Hartley from Mahatta East, living the values of this mornings OPL on First Aid. A big thank you goes out to Mike Strasdine who led a great session on the Be Responsible part of the Brainsafe program. His presentation was very insightful and he used his own personal experiences to create a great learning environment.... Rob Fontaine returned to give another Body Safe talk to a new group of employees, sharing his wisdom on the ways to avoid injuries that can impact the day to day work environment. Finally congratulations to Pavan Padavala and Steve Klassen for their success in the Safety Quiz.

Day 3 of #MowiSafetyWeek has been a stand out day. The 3 full length sessions and 2 quizzes were all well attended and showed the commitment that Mowi employees have to keeping themselves and their colleagues safe. A special shout out to Graham Byatt who gave a great presentation on BeAware this morning, great insight and great examples. The online quizzes have been a great feature of the week, showing our employees competitive side. Congratulations to Zac Smithers from Dalrymple for taking the win this afternoon.
Today, we recognize and remember the sacrifice of so many Canadians. They fought for the rights we enjoy today, giving up so much in the process - innocence, safety, their families, and for many, their lives. Nov 11 is a day to honour their loss, and understand that we must mirror the strength of their convictions when we encounter wrong in the world. Lest we forget
Day 3 of #MowiSafetyWeek Today is a packed day with sessions on Earthquake Preparation, Confined Spaces and Be Aware another component of our Brainsafe program. This mornings OPL is on Fire Safety, introduced by Interim Saltwater Production Director Riley McFadyen. As Riley says Safety is a part of everything that we do, our work in safety is never done!
We are delighted with the success of #MowiSafetyWeek so far. Day 2 showed how motivated Mowi staff are to keep themselves and each other safe, all events saw great participation from across the business. This image shows the team at Big Tree Creek hatchery joining their colleagues from across Mowi Canada West to enjoy Dan Pattison’s presentation on Be Safe one of the 4B’s of our Brainsafe program. We also had great participation in the Body Safe presentation. Avoiding injury through safe movement is a key part of keeping yourself healthy and Rob Fontaine had some great tips and messages that really resonated. As Rob says We are all body owners, we all need to take a vested interest in ourselves and look out for others.
Day 2 of #MowiSafetyWeek Today there is a focus on Ergonomics and also Be Safe, one of the 4B’s of our Brainsafe program. BrainSafe is the foundation of our safety culture in everything that we do. HR Director Dean Dobrinsky kicked off the day with a One Point Lesson on Brainsafe and a reminder that Everything needs maintenance, this includes our safety culture.

When asked about his experience working for Mowi Eric said, Over the past 10yrs along the way I have learnt many different skill sets and made a lot of good friends. One of the most appealing things about working for Mowi is the shift; it gives me a lot of time on my days off to go fishing and enjoy my beautiful back yard.
