Shiny New Day How positive can I get? Well sure, it’s a really trying time. Covid, Trump, killer wasps, climate change, you know the story. How about a three mi...nute positivity break from all of that? Feel free to crank this tune up! Smiling is cool, as is dancing wherever you happen to be. Enjoy my friends, and don’t worry, better days are directly ahead. Stream on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/6yMax2BcaVwmgZwfPBFRjf

Sunny Side Of The Street Dedicated to Steve Groves, June 27, 1948 to November 9, 2020 My old friend Steve was a fabulous guitarist, singer, musical director and... teacher. In all the years I knew him he always had a great, full mouth smile on his face. A generous man and lifelong musician, harder than it looks, Steve was the finest guitarist I had the pleasure of playing with which was far too seldom. The last time was about a year ago at Options at the Brookstreet. I’m grateful for that last chance engagement. Steve could always be counted on for support, and there are numerous guitarist that were fortunate to take lessons from the master, although he’d never, ever put on airs. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. Anyway, I think he would of gotten a kick out of my arrangement of this tune, I know he played it. Rest In Peace my friend.

Commemorating Grace This is the final song in my Six Songs Of Old Ottawa series. The song starts at :40 and tells the story of an engineer on the Bytown to Pres...cott line, 1850’s, later named the Ottawa to Prescott, who dedicated himself to staying on time in memory of Grace, his late wife. This song is dedicated to my grandfather, Charles A. Schultz, locomotive engineer from October 1913 to February 1952, Ottawa and Prescott Railway (O&PR), and member of the Honour Roll of the New York Central Railroad Company. One final note. While putting this series together I gained an appreciation for the efforts of ordinary folks that were really not unlike you and me. It would serve us well to remember those fine people and the struggles they endured, for there were many, while laying the foundations of this great and storied city. The other songs and videos from this series are on my Facebook page.
