Musicians’ Pension Fund of Canada 26.06.2021

Please be advised that businesses that provide pension services and employee benefit services have been deemed by Ontario to be essential services. MPF Canada will continue to operate on reduced hours (11 am to 2 pm). This will ensure that Fund staff are not travelling to and from work during high traffic times. Staff may rotate days on and days off so that that we can continue to provide you with service and communication, while maintaining social distancing. MPF Employees will also be working remotely when possible, and will have access to their work emails remotely. If any members have received a notice from the US Pension Plan about proposed benefit reductions, please be advised that this has nothing to do with Musicians’ Pension Fund of Canada. The Canadian Pension Plan and the US Pension Plan are separate.

The Musicians' Pension Fund would like to extend our hearty thanks to Local 180 Ottawa-Gatineau Musicians for hosting our Director of Pension Benefits, Humbert Martins last week for a pension information session. Humbert gave a great presentation and thoroughly enjoyed the enthusiasm of the members in attendance. If you have any questions about your pension, please email or phone the MPF of Canada and we will do our best to give you whatever information we can!

It's a little late but a massive thank you to PEI and Local 571 for hosting the Musicians' Pension Fund of Canada in Charlottetown for the East Coast Music Awards! The scenery and music were beyond compare and we had a lot of fun informing members and potential members about the Fund and what we can do for the working musician. #ECMA2019 #musicpei
