Hi everyone, and happy holidays from our family to yours! We have been doing some snow clearing this winter and keeping ourselves busy with office work and working on some upgrades for the new spring season. Recently we have been making some changes for a lovely family who's very cool xeriscape garden was initially designed by Peterborough Greenup. We rearranged some existing greenery and added some other suitable xeriscape plants. We're not finished yet, but wanted to share this awesome experience with everyone. More xeriscaping to come in the spring!

Here is a front lawn transformation that we did this week. Due to seasonal availability, planting is a bit delayed, but in the spring there will be Wisteria planted so that it trails up and across the porch, Cerastium and Creeping thyme as ground cover, Euonymous Fortuneii and Anemone Japonica. But so far, so good we think!

Well, it's been another busy week here but we managed to snap a few shots of one of our most recent famous garden transformations! We've received many compliments in the past few weeks, and we are so grateful and pleased that we can make people happy! Not only do we receive compliments from homeowners, but also from their neighbours, and from other contractors working in the neighbourhoods where we work. In fact, in a store the other day, someone saw us with some plants and recognized us, calling us "The Famous Calises"!!We are so thankful to be able to help make Peterborough BLOOM!

September is a great month for everyone who loves perennials.if you thought about and planned your flowers by season now is the time to enjoy your late summer and fall flower combinations.Here are some pictures of beautiful perennials that flower from late summer all the way in to fall.The pictures below are Annemone Honorine Jobert (Japanese Anemone), Cimmicifuga Racemosa (Faerie Candle) and Aster Novae Angliae (New England Aster). Planted together with perennial grasses like Penisetum Hameln (Fountain Grass) or Panicum Virgatum (Northwind Switchgrass), your garden appears truly magical all the way in to October.
