Got the table(s) popped out of the forms tonight! Im pretty happy with the depth and look of the clear pour over top of the translucent blue pour Next I’ll be punishing the Makita Belt Sander, rather it will be punishing my arms while sanding the epoxy down and getting a nice smooth finish, ready for some Osmo Polyx-oil!... What’s your favourite colour of epoxy in a river table? Let me know in the comments below Happy Friday Cheers, Mr. Fabricator #liveedgetables #custombuilt #woodwork

Pouring some left over epoxy to make a few sample colour chips These silicone molds came from the dollars store for anyone who’s wondering I have always used Liquitex Acrylic Ink for my epoxy tinting but I decided to test a new epoxy dye... it’s always good to do a test before your intended project... needless to say I wasn’t happy with the results, sometimes you have to stick to what you know So it’s Liquitex Ink for the win. ... I will be pouring this table with #ecopoxy flowcast. A cpl quick Seal coats on the inside bark and then I will be pouring the river. Have a wonderful Wednesday Cheers, Mr. Fabricator #rivertables #ecopoxyflowcast #diningtable
Getting close to pouring this big ol’ cedar river table(s)! It’s always worth the time to spend a little more on the preparation, I had to build a new table to support the size of this piece, and rearrange my work space I will be doing a seal coat inside of the river with epoxy to avoid any excessive air bubbles while doing the deep pours. The customer hasn’t picked a colour yet but collectively we’ve discussed blue tones with a transparent ink to accent their home. ... Making a form for this table(s) I ended up having to add a strip up each bases side... I needed a piece 4.5’ x 5’.... and I couldn’t get a 5’x10’ sheet...so 2 4’x8’ sheets later...this was the next best option. This table(s) overall length will be 9’ with a width of 4.5’ when pushed together. These slabs will be in the form by the end of the weekend and getting ready for a 30 Litre pour! ... Please like share and follow for updates and more projects like this one TIA Happy Thursday Cheers, Mr. Fabricator #epoxyriver #cedartable #epoxytables
Ive been working on my router sled. I managed to improve my dust collection on the router sled plate with a cpl brooms from the dollar store and a 5 dollar abs plate from #kmstoolscoquitlam and maybe bought a new 1 Hp dust collector with a 55 gallon separator bin, and it has a 4 hose! I’m super happy with it all so far Compared to the old 2 and a shop vac this is working a heck of a lot better, I would highly suggest upgrading your dust collection if you’re constantly co...vered in man glitter as I am Tell me what kind of setup you’re running in your shop for dust collection in the comments section below! Happy Wednesday Cheers, Mr. Fabricator #dustcollection #dewalt #routersled

I managed to squeeze this outdoor cooking counter base in today after all my sledding fun! This was made of 4x4 Fir posts and WRCedar. I sealed the wood with Thompson’s WaterSeal as this will be outside year round. The base will be mated with a granite island top resting as the work surface. I will post pictures once delivered to the customer and in its place! ... Happy Sunday Cheers, Mr. Fabricator #tablebase #woodworking #outdoorfurniture
After just two passes with the router sled this slab is looking entirely different! I love seeing all the beautiful colours coming through! What colour epoxy do you see with this WR Cedar? Let me know in the comments Have a wonderful Sunday ... Cheers, Mr. Fabricator #routersled #cedarslab #dewalt
It’s been a great start to long weekend. I picked up these kiln dried slabs of WRC and am preparing them for a commissioned dining table build. The table(s) will feature bookmatched slabs with an epoxy river. This will be two separate tables, and when pushed together the rivers and slabs will match, creating a large dining table :) The two tables overall dimensions together will be 9’ x 4 1/2’ , creating a beautiful space for family dinners and... gatherings! Be sure to like, share, subscribe, follow and comment for more projects and updates on current builds! Happy long weekendStay safe! Cheers, Mr.Fabricator #westernredcedar #diningtable #epoxyriver
