"I think they can help us find our way out of the forest," I said. "They're flying way too fast, but they seem to be trying to tell us which way to go." . It was then, I had a brilliant idea! . I asked Mr Quinley if he had a jar. He usually has everything you can think of in that hat of his!... . Sure enough, he pulled out a jar and handed it to me. I carefully placed some moss and sticks inside. . "Come here little flies," I whispered and the fireflies fluttered into the jar. I held the jar tight and the flies started to move from side to side. . Just as I had thought, they were trying to guide us out of the forest with their light! Now that they were in the jar, it was easier to see which way they wanted us to go!
