Egor Ukoloff, he’s always swingin’. He’s always pushing us with energy, always listening and projecting new and unique harmonies, and he’s always studying recordings of the masters and bringing that to the table. He loves this music, and it’s a joy to have played, recorded, toured, and performed with him for over 25 years! ------------------------------- Originally from Russia, Egor has a Masters in jazz after graduating from Rostov-on-Don Music College and Rostov-on-on State... Conservatory as a jazz pianist. He toured Europe in the ’80s with his jazz ensemble while teaching in a college and in 1986 he won third place in the International Competition for the jazz pianists under 30yrs old in Poland. In 1989, Egor received a scholarship in the Banff School for the Arts and studied jazz with such greats as Dave Holland, Rufus Reed, Ted Dunbar, and Steve Coleman. Since then he calls Canada his home. Hear Egor on the Bakers Dozen Album on Spotify and Apple Music. linktr.ee/JohnnySummers

I love this song, and I love Chet’s Version which he recorded instrumentally with an up tempo swing feel. I love slow stride piano playing though, I find it soulful and Chris Andrew is a master of this and approaches it and everything he does with such perfect musicality. We wanted to record this in a relaxed stride feel, and I played the solo on Flugelhorn (Chet played one from time to time) Thanks for listening! #BakersDozen https://open.spotify.com/track/6Qkyp6nWtyFCdszaQAyU8J For more info or to listen to the Bakers Dozen Album you can click here linktr.ee/JohnnySummers

Time after Time is a perfect song! I love it. Chet Bakers recording from his 1956 album sings is one of my FAVORITE versions of this song. The group sounds so relaxed, musical and swinging. I hope you like our version, with guest New Orleans based saxophonist Gordon Towell. He sounds absolutely stunning on this track. Thank you for listening! When I first put the concept together for this tune, the The Polyjesters were on the top of my list. I love that they swing hard and put such a great vibe into their work. It was such a pleasure to work with them on this track!
