Its official we now have it all!! Our dear friend Kenneth has brought our farm some of his bees to pollinate our gardens and make some more amazing honey!!! Professional beekeepers are vital to the ecosystem, as there are diseases specific to bees that can cause big problems to hive health. No bees = no pollination and NO FOOD!!! So please be kind to our bees and keep your yards pesticide free!

Just finished my seedling greenhouse!! It's a south facing lean-to, off the side of our house. It has greenhouse plastic on the inside and outside of its 2x4 frame giving it 3 1/2 inch airspace for insulation. This is a conscious effort to reduce our energy input. By capturing as much natural light as possible, and using the house as a thermal mass we are able to capture heat during the day while the double layers help to retain the heat as it radiates off throughout the night.

How to get round bales off the truck without a tractor! The only tractor we have is a lawn ornament in the front yard.

Our girls have been putting in overtime lately and laying so many eggs!! Our hens lay reliably all year... but right now is the best time to stock up on our Farm Fresh Eggs Before our CSA begins and everyone wakes up from their covid lockdowns and hibernation.
