With a second lockdown put in place here in Alberta, there are even more families in need than ever. In some instances, both parents have been laid off and they're struggling to feed their families. As a community, we can come together to do our part in supporting those in need. Devon, Myself and @robynhairnmakeup have teamed up to donate/raise over $1000 so far to be given back to those in need here in Edmonton! But we need your help!... We look like a Nicholas Sparks book cover and IM OBSESSED Hue of Blue Photography-Kylie Reimchen absolutely blew me away. I knew she was extremely talented that’s why we asked her! Onward and Upward @lashlinellc is now settled into our new warehouse space!!! 5 times the size to help keep up with the growth! We’re so grateful for the incredible team of people who helped make moving day so smoothly!! Shout out to my partner @jessilynlove for all the hours of design, planning and execution that went into making this space and transition so perfect! And to our manager and girlfriend @sebrenakrywulak for so much hard work and planning and organizing as we...ll! I can’t put into words how hard these gals worked... I’m just so grateful for them. I struggled this last month with balancing my house move, move out cleans, the new warehouse move, taking clients, unpacking, and being a wife and all the other hats. While I struggled, these two ladies had my back, took work off my plate and had nothing but patience with me while I tried to keep my head above water. Some Volume Magic that I created this week! As a client it can be hard to know what you’re looking for with your lashes. That’s why I try and do a thorough consultation before hand! 1. Do you wear glasses? 2. Do you want them to be fairly noticeable? Or somewhat subtle? 3. Have you had lashes before? If so what did you like and dislike about your last set?... The more questions I can ask, the better chance I have of giving you exactly what you’re dreaming of! For this client, we used M curl. That means the curl of the lash will have a bit more lift, to make the set more noticeable when your eyes are open. It gives the appearance of fuller lashes, and larger eyes. Sooo flattering on everyone! For Lash Artists: M Curl Kitten eye style 7mm on the inner corner, gradually growing to a 12mm where it aligns with the arch of her brow, transitioning down to a 10mm! I used the @lashlinellc Butter & Black in 0.05. About 6D on average! Ok I love this post. Here’s why. I used to think I was a slacker employee. Lol I’LL never forget getting fired from an office job because I wasn’t showing enough initiative.. embarrassing.... but I felt so unmotivated and uninspired. Looking back it makes sense why I felt that way. Entrepreneurs (usually) make TERRIBLE employees.... Entrepreneurs are the only people who will work 80 hours for themselves to avoid working 40 hours for someone else We usually fight traditional rules, we don’t like to be micromanaged, we don’t want an hourly set wage, and let’s be serious our creative brain doesn’t usually work on a 9-5 Monday to Friday schedule. That’s not to say that we can’t make responsible and reliable employees - because we can. But we need one key factor for our job to be successful, no matter where it is: INSPIRATION. If you haven’t found your inspiration yet keep looking... Because once you find it you’re going to unlock the potential you didn’t know you had. You’re going to spend some nights working until 3am because you love it. You’re going to hustle hard to BUILD something for yourself and your family because you love it. Inspiration is the building block of every incredible idea, business and dream. Surround yourself with inspiration and watch all the puzzle pieces fall into place, all the goals and dreams turn into reality. Stay inspired. WARNING: Sappy Post Devon & I have been together for 9 years, and each year that passes I’m shocked by how much more I love him by the following year. Like, the 20 year old Cara who married him in 5 months because I loved him THAT MUCH. But how much I loved him then isn’t even close to how I feel about him now. Isn’t that the oddest thought? Having the privilege of loving someone for a long time shows you so many extra pieces of them that bond you together forever. I say ...long time about 9 years when in actuality 25,50,75 years together is the true honor. Long story short: every single day I am grateful to love someone like him, and be so loved in return. I read this and I thought WOAH. You’d never know if a comment made in passing, or a teasing remark made lightheartedly will stick with them forever. I’ll never forget someone telling me My husband thinks you talk like a Kardashian, and finds it annoying Uhm my voice? Apart of me that I cannot change, you find annoying. Thank you? What is the point of even saying a comment like that, except to inflict pain?... I remember reading a book and the author said sometimes small things happen that effect us forever. We slowly start to lose our voice because of experiences we’ve been through. Then we whisper like a mouse, because before you know it, life beats the SHOUT right out of you. Hold onto your voice, and don’t quiet down While all of us may be going through hard times, that’s never an excuse to damper another persons shine. A comment, however lighthearted and take a small piece away from someone. Don’t be the reason someone’s shine begins to dull. Be apart of the reason their shining! I think you’re a really hard worker. I can see everything you’re working towards and it’s very inspiring! You posted a video that made me smile! Thanks for that! You’re so fun to be around.
