Does your LinkedIn profile need a Spring cleaning? 5 things to consider when updating your LinkedIn profile: 1. Recent and Engaging Photo: If you can't remember what year it was when you took your last profile picture, it’s time to swap that out! Take a quick selfie on your phone, upload it to your profile and call it a day! The goal here is for anyone who has never seen you before to recognize you should they meet you.... 2. Background Photo: This is an opportunity for you to show off your personality. Choose something that is meaningful to you but still looks professional. 3. Headline: Your headline is the most important way to make a strong first impression. Your headline should sum up what you do but also be memorable. Think of it as your tagline. It should be unique to you. You are not just your job title so have some fun with this. 4. Summary: Create a summary that tells your story and write it in the 1st person. Write something that highlights your passion, your experience and gives the reader some insight into your personality. 5. References: References are an easy way to build credibility for your work. Reach out to people you have worked with and collect some recent references. People want to work with someone they trust. See more
