Hi every one, Our Annual Carnation Campaign, which takes place on Mother's Day Weekend, is in need of volunteers. If you have some time to give to this worthwhile event, please let us know. Carnation Co-ordinator/Chair Arrange committee meetings Organize team Secure headquarters Obtain liability insurance Order flowers (preliminary order mid-March) Carnation Sorter Attend committee meetings Organize team to carry flowers off truck Obtain Advanced Order forms (3 sets) Organize team to fill orders (4 works well 2 to fill orders; 2 to count single flowers in set of 12 + box cutters required) NB: the flowers are delivered on Wednesday morning this person will need to be available Driver Co-ordinator Attend committee meetings Collaborate with Advanced Order Co-ordinator regarding Thursday drivers Secure enough drivers to deliver Advanced Orders (Thursday) Secure enough drivers to open, maintain and close sites (Friday and Saturday) Deliver table and chairs as required NB: drivers are managed Thursday, Friday and Saturday this person will need to be available Advanced Order Co-ordinator Attend committee meetings Call businesses to determine participation (when a large amount, other committee members may help) Fax/email forms to businesses Receive forms (check with companies that do not respond?) Separate forms into different parts of the city Give 3 copies of forms to Driver Co-ordinator Captain Co-ordinator Attend committee meetings Secure Captain for each location Obtain lists of volunteers selling flowers Share lists of volunteers with Carnation headquarters Volunteer Co-ordinator Attend committee meetings Collaborate with the Captain Co-ordinator Maintain list of volunteers Treasurer Attend committee meetings Obtain cash floats for each location Friday and Saturday Receive carnation sales money and coins Count money and coins Deposit money and coins Fill out a spreadsheet to be shared with the committee and North Bay MS Board NB: money is received Thursday, Friday and Saturday this person will need to be available Secretary Attend committee meetings Take notes Distribute meeting notes to rest of committee Write letters to obtain permission to sell flowers at businesses Write thank you letters after carnation campaign

The Davidi Club of North Bay recently hosted their Annual Golf Tournament at Pinewood Park Golf Course. Some of the proceeds were donated to the MS Society - North Bay, Parry Sound and Temiskaming District Chapter. Thank you Davidi Club for your $575 donation!

It's MS Walk Week in North Bay. One of our walk teams "The Cantin Crusaders" are hosting a Garage Sale this Saturday May 27th from 8am - 12pm. Location: 120 Janice Street , North Bay All proceeds will be donated to MS Walk on Sunday. Thank you to the Cantin Crusaders for going that extra mile.
