Update from Fast Tracks re: Covid-19. It's been about 6 weeks since our last update on how Covid-19 is affecting Fast Tracks, thought an update would be in orde...r. We are still operating with full production. Over the last 2 months our orders have increased significantly. April saw us ship out over 500 orders alone. Fortunately we have the capacity to handle that volume and have been able to keep up. In stock items usually ship the same day or the following. Items we need to produce usually are shipped within a couple days. Out of stock items from other suppliers (Micro Engineering etc.) we can not guarantee when they will ship. Adding these items to an order can cause lengthy delays. PointForm and StockAid tools are regularly re-stocked and won't cause much of a delay if not in stock when an order is placed. If we think an item will cause a long delay we will contact you. Currently Micro Engineering is out of code 83 rail and spikes, as are we. The estimate is possibly late June for code 83 rail and no estimate on the spikes. We will remove these items from orders that come in and ship the remaining order. As we have no way to track and handle backorders, a refund for items removed will be applied to those orders. The postal service is running much slower than normal and therefore delivery times are not guaranteed. UPS is better, but they are also not guaranteeing delivery times and may be slower than normal. If your order is time sensitive, select a courier option that is trackable. Our Free Shipping option is not always trackable and may take several weeks to arrive after it is shipped. If you select a non-trackable shipping option, there is no way for us to follow up on it if it is delayed. Keep in mind, in 17 years we can count on one hand the number or orders that got lost in transit. Sometimes an item in transit can take longer than expected, but they always show up. Other than the issues above it's business as usual here at Fast Tracks! Take care - Tim and the team at Fast Tracks.

The latest from Mt. Albert Scale Lumber and Fast Tracks re: Covid-19 As you all know the precautions surrounding the Covid-19 outbreak have impacted just about everything in the production and supply chain. Currently Fast Tracks is still up to full production and is shipping orders daily via the post office and UPS. As long as those services are functioning we should be able to keep up with orders. We anticipate that delivery times may take a little longer due to shortages of... delivery staff but our current information from them says they are still functioning well. We are in a pretty good position for raw material, having stocked up recently on plywood (QuickSticks, SweepSticks etc.), Aluminum for fixtures, Basswood and Pine for Mt. Albert Lumber. Our production facility is unique, in that we can work in almost complete isolation, so keeping "socially distant" isn't difficult while still maintaining production. Our shop(s) are in two locations, so production staff are isolated from shipping. We have a way to have couriers pick up and drop off without entering the facility. In the near term, baring any further disruptions we should be able to continue to offer our full product line, shipping in stock and items we manufacture on demand within a few days of an order being placed. Don't hesitate to place your orders, we will keep you informed of any delays or interruption if they arise. Take care! Tim Warris and the crew at Fast Tracks and Mt. Albert Scale Lumber

https://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/37570 Model Railroad Hobbyist really is one of the best publications in the hobby. Current, relevant and very rich in content. While others seem to be focusing on basic, beginner stuff, MRH digs deep with excellent articles. This is the reason it's one of the few places that Fast Tracks pays to advertise. A lot of traffic is driven to our website from MRH. If you enjoy the publication, consider springing for Running Extra. A great way to ensure this kind of great content keeps on coming down the line!
