Long shadows at winter training, can’t wait for summer
Sunshine and fall colors, this will be the last winter we haul out to train... stay tuned for updates! Exciting times ahead
Someone is extra itchy and appreciative of a good grooming
Good friends, good horses and sunsets help the heart to heal
Today we had to say good bye to our most special boy, Kingston. He was diagnosed with a very rare and fast progressing cancer just a couple of weeks ago. We made sure that his last days were filled with his favourite things, and when his time came, we had to be strong enough to let him go. He wasn’t always the easiest, but more than any other horse he made us believe in ourselves and chase our dreams. He touched so many lives with his kind soul and stoic personality.... A dear friend shared her wisdom: We want to keep them for another day, even another minute, and they would try because that’s their nature. We have to end any suffering when it begins. You have to put yourself and your feelings in another room and solidly step into the role of his soul steward. Put your ear over his heart and listen for the last beat and use every ounce of strength you have left to help send him safely to the other side. There will never be another horse in our lives like this one, but we will forever remember all the amazing things he taught us and be grateful we had the chance to love him whole heartedly. Rest In Peace my friend. You have been and always will be our rock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrVb45sRNFY
On a windy sunny afternoon we provided a wonderful equine to escort a gentleman to his final resting place as was his last request A solemn but special moment.
So happy Winston has found his person Congratulations to Abbey and Winston for their Summer Series Championship.
Hugo loves his stall fans! They are actually to deter flies but he’s pretty sure they are for a hair commercial
Hugo approves of his stall fans, they are actually to deter the small flies but he’s pretty sure they are so he can do a hair commercial
Not that I want it but boy are we ready for cold weather and rain! First time ever all the blankets for each season washed and repaired :) Thanks to Glynnis Anderson and her mad skills at repairing!
Tiny Tots class: With our new fall schedule starting we have lost our Friday time slot. We can run the class on Thursday at 4:00 for the next two weeks. Please message or comment if that will work for you :) Thank you for your understanding, who would have thought we would have to rebook August classes due to weather issues??
Last camp of the summer the weather gods gave us a bit of trouble, but we say when it rains play in the puddles!
Attention Tots class! Sadly weather is not our friend this month. With the potential for thunder and lightning this afternoon we won’t run the tots class today. Please reply in the comments so I know you have seen this notice.
Great camp, great kids and one awesome unicorn
