We are excited to support our community partners Elevation Outdoors and their 3rd annual screening of the Wild and Scenic Film Festival taking place on January 21, 2022! The Wild and Scenic film festival is one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, and they are thrilled to help bring it to the Kelowna community. Your ticket gives you access to the twelve amazing films being shown; each one showcasing the power of the outdoors to heal, rejuvenate, and inspire positive change for individuals and societies. We hope you get a chance to explore the trails all year round! Some of our Directors made it out to Crawford this weekend, and took care of at least 10 trees down while out for a ride. Remember to report issues like fallen trees through Trailforks so they can be addressed. With all the recent storms there are still several trees down across many trail networks - let us know when you see them, and ride with care.

This has been such a well curated event in the past, and is a fundraiser for the excellent programs run by Elevation Outdoors. Ticketholders will also have access to the film content for five days following the livestream event.

We are giving you (and ourselves) the day off! Our previously scheduled Gillard trail day is canceled. We hope you get out on your bikes, skis, snowboards, or all of the above! Enjoy the weekend

AGM election results - We had 4 incumbent Directors up for re-election, and 4 new candidates put their names forward. With 8 vacancies on the board, all 8 candidates were brought on by acclamation. Congratulations to all! 12 We now have 12 Board Directors; with Cam Lainchbury, Cam Starcheski, Megan Ludwig, and Diane Oorebeek all on the second year of their current term. We also take this opportunity to say thank you to Henri Fournier and Tully Johnson for their incredible past service and direction. Please be sure to give them a shout of appreciation when you see them out on the trails or in the community!

Attention machine operators! At Gillard, there is an old 4x4 trail that many of our riding community have been using as a climb route. A good portion of this road is in poor condition and is subject to spring runoff. MTBco will be renting a mini excavator to dig in some drainage and install a culvert. We are looking for someone with experience operating an excavator that is willing to volunteer a day's work. We are hoping to get this done before the snow level gets too low, so within the next couple weeks. Please contact MTBco ASAP. Thank you and please share.
