As many know Massage Therapy is not yet regulated in Alberta. For many years we’ve been trying to get there and we are on the right track now. With all four associations working together hopefully this can happen in the near future. Please take a moment and sign the petition for Massage Therapy to be regulated. As you know there was an announcement made yesterday regarding the easing of COVID-19 related restrictions. We are pleased to announce that effective Monday J...anuary 18, 2021, that both Massage Therapy and Manual Osteopathic Therapy will be allowed to reopen by appointment only. We have been able to verify that this means that effective Monday January 18, 2021 that the need for a written prescription or referral is no longer necessary to provide massage therapy treatment. Please be aware that the current order does mean that no walk-in appointments are allowed. The client must have a pre-booked appointment prior to attending the clinic, and all current return to work guidelines and protocols must be followed.
