Good afternoon. Today the Minister of Education announced that all students in Alberta (except students in the MD of Wood Buffalo) will return to school, starti...ng on Tuesday May 25th. According to the Ministry, the decision to move to At-Home Learning was made by the Minister of Education due to operational concerns raised by numerous school divisions. Students and staff will complete the school year using the same precautions that were in effect prior to the May 10th transition to At-Home Learning. With 50% of Albertans vaccinated the end of the pandemic is in sight. This fall students and staff will be able to participate and learn in ways that were not permitted or highly restricted. We are looking forward for a return to normal or near normal. I know this past year-and-a-half was difficult for students, staff and families. Please help your family value the importance of education and ensure that your family attends schools up to and including the last day. Thank you to parents, students, teachers and support staff for demonstrating flexibility to transition to and from various forms of learning. Please continue to pray for the health of those who need prayers the most, including all front-line workers. May the Peace of Christ be with you all. Karl Germann Superintendent
