We are hosting an event with Dr. Reid Beyond Dumplings and Samosas on Wednesday, May 12th from 12-1pm on Zoom to review some high-impact lessons that foster positive inclusion of Asian students. These lessons are important especially due to the increasing need to support our Asian community, the demographic diversity of the GTA, and the month of May is Asian Heritage Month. If you are interested in attending please fill out this form https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSeYSO6JfrWd228W7/viewform

Mental Health Tip: Try to find five things you have found difficult, and order them from least to most difficult. Choose one issue to tackle first, and then break it down into smaller pieces so it is easier to work on. #5TipsForBurnout #MTSA #OISE

A new student-lead initiative at Malvern Collegiate, Community Connections, is looking for community members to mentor/connect with high school students. Each mentor will be paired with one student, and have a weekly half an hour conversation with that student around a specific pre-set topic (set by the students). The idea is to explore modern topics facing students today, lighthearted to heavier topics, in a way that connects students with their broader communities. They cu...rrently have LOTS of students who are interested, but need more community members! They must be adults (MT candidates are perfect!) who are referred, as it is student lead. If you are interested and would like to participate, please email [email protected]. It will be starting in January. #oise
