We can count on one hand the number of days in which we had snowshoes in stock this winter. Our waiting list keeps growing and unfortunately some people will probably not get a pair this winter. Between the MSR Lightning, Revo, and Evo models, we have not been able to meet the high demand in the Fraser Valley. This morning we received a small shipment from MSR that included a pair of Lightning Ascent 30" snowshoes (colour Black). This pair has not been spoken for and is avail...able for purchase. . While the Lightning Ascent snowshoes represent the pinnacle of ultralight and aggressive all-terrain performance, the 30" option is recommended for someone venturing mostly off-trail and carrying heavy loads. Though the 22" and 25" are usually what we recommend for most snowshoers, the 30" offers great floatation but can nevertheless be quite clumsy for someone who does need this amount of surface area. . These snowshoes sit at a price of $379.99 and we would ask you to inquire about this face to face. Dinosaur Killer, 5.9 at Harrison. Between Smoked Salmon and Babolious. 25 m, 5.9. access by a fixed rope about 15 m right of Smoked Salmon. Start up a blank dih...edral with a thin crack on the right wall, and do some wide stems past bolts. At the top of the dihedral, move right to gain a hanging corner that parallels Babolious. Follow this to the top, fingers to offwidth. Three bolts and gear to 4", #4 Camalot is useful. FA me and Shaun Neufeld today. Back in the spring I had the idea I'd retroscrub Babolious for my Covid lockdown project. It turns out though that the bottom half of that route is a giant dirt collector. The top half is nice though. So I started scrubbing DK as a way to access the good top half of Babolious, and then it gradually became a project of its own. There is, however, one more bolt halfway up the upper corner, on the arete, where a nice series of ledges crosses from DK to Babolious. This lets you link the two up. Upper corner of Babolious does have blackberries in it at the moment though, and there's still a fixed rope there for cleaning. Might not finish that until next spring.
