If you want to look younger, while addressing pigmented skin you need Retinol in your life! and If you are enterting/already in your 30s, a mom, in a pandemic you sure as shit need it.... What does Retinol do? Prevents Wrinkles/Plumps Skin Brightens Dull Skin Fades Dark Spots Treats Acne/Shrinks Pores Retinol can actually slow down the aging process by increasing cell turnover. Slow cell turnover as we age is part of the wonderful cause of wrinkles. Not all Retinols are the same. There are mild (retinyl palmitate) all the way to prescription strength. Using too much Retinol/too strong of a Retinol right off the bat can cause irritation to the skin so its best to start with a more mild form and at a slower rate. To start slow you could start with 1 x week for 1 week, 2x week for 2 week up to every other day per week. 3super important things to remember when using Retinol: SPF-Retinol can make you more sun sensitive Do not use exfoliants, acids, acne products, peels on the same night you use Retinol Be very mindful of not getting Retinol on your tattooed brows, it can alter colour and cause premature fading. I am looking not only at your undertone (the colour temperature coming through like cool, neutral or warm) but also overtone. Your overtone can be anything form red, to violet to green etc. And, Skin pigmentation really effects healed results. The more sun damage/pigmentation you have the more cool toned you are and therefore the more warmth we need to add. 2NATURAL COLOUR OF YOUR EYEBROW HAIR It is always possible to tint your brows after, especially to cover any greys or super light brow hairs. However if you come to me with dark black brown brow hair...I am sorry but we cannot implant a lighter color and have it look right. We want the microblading to blend as seamlessly as possible with your natural hair. 3CLIENT PREFERENCE You are a significant part of this whole process. You may be someone who wants an ashier eyebrow or you may be someone who wants a warmer color brow. 4METHOD OF APPLICATION This just means the tool we are using. Microblading leads to cooler healed results therefore some additional warmth needs to be added to compensate during the appointment. For machine brows (which I will be learning) implants more pigment in the skin and therefore the end result is more true to color.
