Dear Canadian Musicians' Coalition supporters. We hope you are doing well during these challenging times. I know that we have been fairly quiet these past few weeks, but rest assured we have been working hard behind the scenes meeting with my local MP Ron KR McKinnon and his staff to support our Canadian music community. Today, we are pleased to announce that Mr. McKinnon has officially sponsored our petition to create a Canadian Musicians' Support Fund and to seek amendme...nts to the Broadcasting Act to bring about fair remuneration for artists' recorded works. We wish to sincerely thank Mr. Mckinnon and his staff for their on-going support! Now it is up to all musicians and music supporters to show their support by please signing this officially sponsored petition. If you signed our previous petition, please sign this new petition as well because this one is officially sponsored by our Member of Parliament and will be presented in the House of Commons. Let's work hard for the next 90 days to collect the tens of thousands of signatures needed to create positive change and support for musicians who provide such an essential service to our society with the creation of the music we all enjoy and need daily to keep us healthier and happier, especially during these challenging times of isolation.
