FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED COURTESY POST We have been contacted by this gals current adopters in hopes of finding a wonderful new home for their amazing double amputee dog... Breed(s): Collie X Age: 4 years Sex: Female Weight: 43lbs Vaccinated: Yes Spayed: Yes Kids: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes (should be only dog in home though) Good with Cats: Unknown This beauty is a 4 year spayed, collie mix who as you can see, is A very able-disableded dog. She showed us in her wheels that this girl has got alot of Life and Love to give and nothing slows her down. !! She loves to run around, goes on hikes and has adjusted to her custom made wheels . She is very enthusiastic about going for walks and will patiently wait for her harness to be fitted so she can run like the wind Outside she is very curious and friendly when introduced to other dogs, kids and adults. Likely because of her disability and the threat of not being fully able to react, she tends to be food aggressive so should be fed alone. She is happy and welcomes you with great enthusiasm and loves being brushed, petted and talked to. She is unable to know when she has to go to the bathroom, so a Foster/Forever home with a willingness to express her urine whether it be on a pee pad or outside by simply pressing on her bladder is needed. However, accidents do sometimes happen and she still may pee on the floor on occasion. Expressing her urine has been mastered and is done easily. She could be fitted with a diaper but her adopters have not gone that route. They have a spin mop and that said they have always have the cleanest floors Her owners have now established a method that minimizes the amount of healthcare with regards to her bowel movements. This system that will be shared with her adopters. When she poops its always been solid and easy to pick up. At the end of the day, this healthy, happy double amputee has lots of love and life left in her She would do so well with someone without stairs or very few, perhaps who works from home, has a fenced yard, but access to areas that she can let loose in her hot wheels because as per video this gal LOVES to run Please email a little bit about you to: [email protected] It takes an army to save one dog so thank you ! We are in search of foster homes preferably on the Sunshine Coast of BC for these two dogs. They are friendly with people, in good health but will be getting h...elp with their anxiety in public and when encountering unfamiliar dogs. A fenced yard is necessary.
